SODOM & GOMORRAH: Announcing #YouAreThe33.

 

I'm tired of #OccupyWallStreet and #OccupyTogether telling us that 99% of the world's resources are consumed by the richest 1%. I'm tired of hearing that they are the 99%.

 

I'm tired of "conservatives" telling us that 53% of Americans pay income taxes, so they are the 53%.

 

I'm tired of everything being about money. It should be about morals.

 

Perhaps slightly tongue-in-cheek, I have started a new campaign: #youarethe33. I've taken this from Revelation 12.4, Revelation 8.8, and other places to suggest that 99% of the world's problems are caused by 33% of the people. It's time for serious conservatives to reclaim the dialogue: it isn't about taxes, resources, or money. It's about moral character. Some have it, some don't. If the Christian Right is sincere about turning the country back to God, then the political discourse needs to stop being about money and start being about morals.
